after the disaster that was the Halifax Psychic Fair I ended up at Brooklyn Wharehouse for lunch. It was the best thing I have eaten here. It is SO good. Like, no words, so good.

I always drink an insane amount of water so the fact that they give you an entire bottle is magic.

Psychic Fair

Okay, I know this exists because I saw an ad for it last month and I wrote the details in my calendar, besides that good freaking luck finding info on it online. There is a gathering of hippy folk at the Halifax forum for the next three days. I can't remember the times, but I am going Saturday at 11am (when I think it opens). I have no money for such things so I am paying for it with rolled change (we all now that doesn't count). I believe in this shit and as my friend Matt says "trust the ones with the nicest bling and bitchingest nails" so I will take that into consideration.

Basically, GO. Go and be frivolous for an afternoon. Who knows, maybe you will learn something.

Summer of Murray

I can't believe it is Thursday. My week is all fucked up.

Okay, tonight you need to go see Caddyshack. The Atlantic Film Festival's AlFresco Film Festo is hosting The Summer of Murray. Every Friday until August 26 a Bill Murray film will be screened on the Halifax Waterfront. It is $5 and located between the Seaport Farmers Market and Bishops Landing.

Oh, and my friend wants to go to Martini Monday's, but we always work Monday nights so that doesn't work, but it sounds like my kinda jam.

FALAFEL

I have a major discovery to share: Venus Pizza Falafel Pita's.

This is the best thing to happen to my life in recent memory. A friend was like "you need chicken shawarma" and I was like, um, I am not so big on the meat thing and she was like IT IS AMAZING so I ended up there late one night and I got their falafel pita. Changed my life. Delicious. I can not even talk about how many times I have found myself there in the last three weeks. I thought I was doing okay, that I had cracked the addiction, but tonight I found myself wandering by (I live two blocks away! It is not my fault!) and I once again brought home the falafel pita.

I didn't even know that falafel existed this good. It is out of this world. Like, I have had A LOT of falafel in my time and nothing prepared me for this. Ugh, so delicious. AND THE PICKLES. The pickles are unreal. I didn't know pickles came that delicious and I LOVE pickles. There is also lettuce and tomatoes, beets and tahini. Once again, DELICIOUS.

So get your ass down to Venus Pizza and get your eats on!
