Kicking it Old School

Today I went to the library. They people downstairs were super nice. The people upstairs at the reference desk were... well... old?
It is a really nice library with loads of computers and really great deals on renting dvd's of TV shows: you get them for three weeks! Dude, that is unheard of. It is closed Mondays though, which really sucked when I walked there yesterday in the rain. There are a billion branches and they publish this library magazine every two months that I really enjoy and it has the book club info and reviews and events and art classes etc.
Then, then I made popcorn. On the stove. I decided against buying a microwave when I moved.
I am still solid in my decision.
the only reason I have a giant tub of butter is because it was the same price as the little container.

1) put oil (butter pour moi) in a pot on medium heat with a few kernels.
2) put lid askew and wait for poppage
3) when poppage occurs put about a 1/3 of a cup of kernels
4) cover askew again and shake occasionally
5) wait for poppage then pour into bowl, salt and butter to taste
6) eat until you feel like throwing up. It is addicting and delicious.
